Connecticut visual artist and interior designer Meredith Ferris has been creating with intention since early childhood. Her parents noted she picked up a crayon before she could walk. Formally trained in fine art, Meredith’s body of work spans numerous mediums; including watercolor, pastel, acrylic, graphic design,  photography, and interior design.

Her early career focused on watercolor, sometimes adding elements in charcoal and pastel. Until 2007 those works were loose landscapes and botanicals inspired by the New England coastline. In 2015, Meredith began a series of abstract compositions that pull inspiration from her years as a competitive figure skater, love of the ocean, and artist Cy Twombly. In her upcoming series, Meredith will explore different color palettes and textures. Her current inspirations are Cecily Brown, Robert Mars, and Andy Warhol for their iconic and bold use of color.

Meredith has won several awards for her art and photography and was a member of The National Art Honor Society. Meredith has worked in the design industry for 25 years and in 2019 she opened Hearthstone Hill Interiors, a boutique interior design firm where she is currently working on several new design/build projects on the east coast.
